This is a fantastic experiment. I have used it to reinforce a variety of different topics; gas laws, molar gas volume, solid liquids and gases etc.

A test tube is placed inside a cola bottle. As the bottle is squeezed the test tube falls. As the squeeze is relaxed the test tube floats back up. A great homework is to explain why this happens!
